The second annual Genre Ball will be held the Friday before Halloween at Liberty Hall at Ace Hotel New York. It's the costume party you've been waiting for, complete with fabulous prizes, delicious cocktails, dancing, free books, and famous authors wearing funny outfits and facepainting by Sheila J. Faces and tunes will be brought to you by Health Klub DJs.

One lucky winner of the costume contest will receive a free one night stay courtesy of our friends at Ace Hotel New York!

The dress code is cocktail attire and/or costumes: come dressed as your favorite literary genre, book, or fictional character.

The 2016 Genre Ball is hosted by:

  • Nicole Dennis- Benn, Author of Here Comes The Sun
  • James Hannaham, author of Delicious Foods
  • Heidi Julavits, author of The Folded Clock
  • Kelly Luce, author of Pull Me Under
