Nationally recognized as an expert in nursing education and medical-surgical/gerontological nursing, Iggy has a wealth of experience in education, clinical nursing, and administration. She has taught in PN, diploma, AD, and BSN programs for many years.
Currently, Iggy conducts local, regional, and national conferences and program consultation on such topics as curriculum transformation, active learning strategies, and evaluation methods. She has conducted over 2000 of these presentations in all 50 states during the past 10 years.
Iggy is also the founder of the very popular, international Boot Camp for Nurse Educators® conference, a valuable educational experience that provides an opportunity for both novice and seasoned faculty to learn about current best practices in nursing education.
Additionally, Iggy is the author of a number of articles, chapters, and books, including her leading textbook, Medical-Surgical Nursing: Concepts for Interprofessional Collaborative Care, 10th Edition, co-authored with Linda Workman, Cherie Rebar and Nicole Heimgartner.
In 2007, Iggy was inducted into the prestigious Academy of Nursing Education (ANEF) in recognition of her national contributions to the field of nursing education.

Lydia Zager is the Co - Executive Director and Educational Consultant for Leading Learning, LLC
and former Director for the Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership Program located in the College of Nursing
at the University of South Carolina (USC). She is a clinical professor emerita at USC. Lydia
earned her MSN in nursing administration with a minor in education from the University of Texas
Health Science Center (UTSC) in San Antonio, Texas and her BSN from Pittsburg State University
(PSU) in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was the Director of the Center for Nursing Leadership for South
Carolina from 2004 – 2010 and the Director of the Amy V. Cockcroft Executive Leadership
Program from 2014 – 2017. Lydia is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Nurse Corps. She
is a sought-after resource for faculty and has made numerous, international, national, and state
presentations. Her expertise is in developing nursing faculty particularly in the areas of clinical and
conceptual teaching, clinical reasoning, new generation of novice learners, item writing, &
evaluation to meet patient safety, NCLEX® & Joint Commission Standards in both the classroom &
in clinical. Lydia is the co-author of four books, “The Eight Step Approach to Student Clinical
Success"(2018), “The Eight Step Approach to Teaching Clinical Nursing” (2017), “Medical Surgical
Nursing Concepts Made Insanely Easy: A New Approach to Prioritizing Nursing”, (2019), and
“Concepts Made Insanely Easy for Clinical Nursing”, (2019). She wrote two chapters for the book,
“Mastering the Teaching Role: A Guide for Nurse Educator” (Penn, 2008). She co-developed and
implemented a concept curriculum. Lydia was awarded the 2006 SC Palmetto Gold recipient of
the top 100 nurses in SC, was a recipient of the USC College of Nursing’s Outstanding
Undergraduate Teaching Award, the Amy V. Cockcroft Outstanding Leadership Award and the
2007 Sigma Theta Tau Alpha Xi Founders Awards. She also was selected by PSU and UTSC for
the Outstanding Alumni Award. She is a 2004 graduate fellow of the Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership
Development Program.

Lori Wedding, RN, MSN-Ed

Lori Wedding, RN, MSN-ed, has a nursing license in
Arizona, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing
education (MSN-ed) degree from the University of
Phoenix in 2012. Lori Wedding obtained her Bachelor
of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Arizona State
University in 1993. Her clinical work history is in the
areas of trauma step-down and primarily pediatrics.
Lori became an adjunct nursing clinical instructor in
2008 for multiple colleges in Arizona and became
residential faculty with MCCCD in 2014. Professional
activities include serving on many committees within
Maricopa Nursing, and within an Arizona hospital
where employment consisted of pediatric nursing and
NICU for 27 years, serving and chair on the pediatric
patient care councel. Ms. Wedding has been involved
in nursing simulation across the curriculum and
through nurse refresher courses. Teaching has
involved clinical facilitation and didactics in multiple
arenas as well as creating a nursing contingency plan
for the district in pediatrics.

Jessica Bruhn, RN, MSN-ED.
Speaker, Nursing Faculty
Jessica Bruhn, Rn, MSN-Ed, has a nursing license in
Arizona, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing
Education (MSN-Ed.) degree from Grand Canyon
University in 2016. Ms. Bruhn obtained her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northern Arizona
University in 2013. Her clinical work history is in the
areas of telemetry and neurological/medical surgical
critical care. Ms. Bruhn became an adjunct nursing
clinical instructor in 2016, and a residential faculty for the
nursing department within the Maricopa County
Community College District (MCCCD) in 2017. Ms. Bruhn
has taught in the areas of fundamentals, medical/surgical,
and critical care. Her passion for teaching and learning
continues as she has recently been accepted as a
student to the Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing
Education (DNP-Ed) program at Regis College, with
courses to begin in the fall of 2020.
