Self-compassion is a useful strategy in regulating shame and self-criticism. However, many clients experience blocks to being able to extend compassion towards themselves. Brainspotting is a powerful, brain and body-based mindfulness intervention that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain in order to heal.
After this experiential sneak-peek into Brainspotting you will be able to:
Identify the core means for self-compassion and personal growth
Understand the neurobiology of Brainspotting
Learn how to help clients find self-compassion in moments of shame and criticism through Brainspotting interventions
*Items needed for the training a device to play music and headphones. Access to Spotify or Apple Music and the Brainspotting BSP, David Grand PhD-Brainspotting, or any bilateral music playlist.
