Wisdom Series Part I: This webinar will define Analytical Psychology and teach the main differences between Jungian and Freudian theories.

Social workers sustain people in terrible and inhumane situations, and many are confronted with spiritual suffering regardless of a person's religious or spiritual orientation. Psychological growth is maturity gained by interacting with the conscious and the unconscious parts of the mind. Spiritual growth in Analytical Psychology is maturity gained by interaction with the unseen world of symbols and rituals using" active imagination"

This workshop will define knowledge of Analytical Psychology , teach the main differences between Jungian and Freudian theories. Both men attempted to make psychology a science. Jung is often misunderstood because he is not taught frequently.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Critique the basic differences between Freudian Psychology and Jungian Analytical Psychology.
  2. Discuss the relevance of Jungian Analytical Psychology approaches in understanding life problems social workers face professional and personally.
  3. Distinguish the spiritually of C.G. Jung and also his view on religion and spiritual experience.
  4. Recognize the language of Analytic Psychology

Presenter: Rev. Karen E. Herrick, PhD, LCSW is a social worker and author of this series.
