As part of the All Island Innovation programme series of Master Classes, the School of Management & Marketing, UCC are delighted to announce the next in the current series to take place on February 22nd 2017.
We are delighted to announce that our speaker for this master class is Prof. James Cunningham, Professor of Strategic Management at Newcastle Business School, UK. Prior to joining Newcastle Business School he worked at University College Dublin and National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway). His research intersects the fields of strategic management, innovation and entrepreneurship. His research focuses on strategy issues with respect to principal investigators as scientific entrepreneurs and market shapers, university technology transfer commercialisation, academic and technology entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial universities and public sector entrepreneurship. He has papers published in leading international journals such as Research Policy, Long Range Planning, Journal of Technology Transfer, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, International Journal of Technology Management and the Journal of Intellectual Capital.
He will visit UCC on Wednesday February 22nd 2017 to deliver one master classes for a local industry audience. This master classes is free to attend but due to space constraints, advanced booking is required. Further specifics of the events is detailed below.

Using and Exploiting your Strategy and Innovation for Collaborative Open Innovation Opportunities and Sustainable Growth
This workshop will focus on how to use and exploit strategy and innovation in your business to capture effectively collaborative open innovation opportunities in order to sustain and grow your business. The workshop will provide businesses with a practice based framework to identify key strategic and innovation challenges facing their business and outline some implementation strategies that are essential in growing and sustaining a business as well as some approaches to effectively exploit collaborative open and disruptive innovation opportunities.
