Did you know that women account for 40% of elected offices in Rhode Island this past election? Whether you are a state legislator, local city council member, school board official, or serve in any other elected role, we invite you to be celebrated!

Women's Fund of Rhode Island (WFRI) works to ensure that more women are at the table where decisions are made and resources are allocated. Regardless of party affiliation, we know that when more women are represented, discussions around policy reflect lived experiences that improve the status of women and girls.

We would like to welcome Rhode Island's newly elected and re-elected women and legislative allies throughout the state. Please join us for a brief ceremony and learn about some of the policy priorities our organizations hope to put forward in 2023.

Speakers in the program include:

  • The Honorable Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos
  • House Majority Whip Katherine Kazarian
  • Central Fall Mayor Maria Rivera
  • Angela McCalla & Kelly Nevins, Women's Fund of Rhode Island
  • Jill Ashton, Regional Director, Department of Labor Women's Bureau

Refreshments will be provided.
