AMWHO is an authentic simulation of the World Health Assembly, the sole decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO). Students assume the roles of WHO ambassadors, non-governmental organization members, media correspondents, or industry representatives. In regional blocs, delegates debate, write, and ultimately vote on a resolution that aims to address the global public health challenge and theme of the conference. This year's conference will be held in person in Gillings School of Global Public Health in Chapel Hill, NC, and the theme is based on Rectifying Historical and Contemporary Prejudices and Oppressions Undermining Global Health.
