The Gold Coast Budo Challenge is our annual not-for-profit competion, for Kata and Kyokushin rules Kumite. It is a two day event, Kata on the Saturday and Kumite on the Sunday.
We are fortunate to have an fantastic commercial sponsors, and support from the Qld Government, which enables us to keep involvement costs at a minimum.
The Gold Coast Budo Challenge was borne from the ideal of providing a 'World class event, on a local basis'. Since 2016 we have been striving to achieve this and 'lift the bar' every year. From the attendance of local MP's, Concillors and the Consul General of Japan; Yuganbeh Aboriginal Youth Choir, Taiko drumming ensembles and various demonstrations, the weekend is not to be missed!!!
