The Hammond Education Foundation's Hero in Education Awards Night is one of the staple events of not only the Foundation but the School City of Hammond. It is a time to celebrate and recognize the talent that resides within our school district and community.

A Hero in Education demonstrates the following criteria in support of our students, our teachers, our administrative staff, our buildings, and our school system:

  • Dedication, excellence, and selflessness that exceed basic job expectations;
  • Civility, graciousness, professionalism and a sense of doing what’s right and good within an environment/atmosphere that may be trying;
  • Repeatedly going the extra mile in exhibiting job mastery, dedication, and professionalism;
  • Contributions that, directly or indirectly, contribute to HEF’s mission of Supporting Extraordinary Learning Experiences to Help Students Succeed

In addition to the Awards Ceremony, your ticket purchase or sponsorship will include dinner and open bar followed by a DJ and dancing.

In order to help support the School City of Hammond’s continuous efforts to improve through providing innovative programming, we hope you will consider joining us at our Hero In Education Awards Night on May 9, 2025 at the Wicker Park Social Center, Highland, IN.
