Beam, Longest and Neff Certified Office Technicians will administer this 5-day course designed by MDOT to train and certify attendees for the Computerized Office Technician role. Certification will be provided pending a passing final exam score. Attendance is required for all 5 days to receive certification.
Each registration includes: Daily instruction and course training material, all handouts and Office Technician Certification pending passing final exam. A snack will be served in the morning and afternoon each day, however lunch will not be provided. 1 hour will be allotted for lunch.
Required for this Course:
- Laptop Computer with
- FieldManager 5.3c* (standalone datasource, see below)
- Adobe Acrobat (or Similar PDF application)
- Familiarity with Windows and common desktop applications
Strongly Encouraged:
- FieldManager 1-day training course
- Writing utensils, including a highlighter
- Post it notes
- Calculator
- Hard copy of MDOT 2012 Spec Book (a digital copy will be provided)
*In order to use FieldManager for this course, you will need to set up a standalone datasource in FieldManager titled “Training Use Only.” Administrator privileges are required to set up a new datasource, so please contact your company’s IT department with this request if you do not have admin rights.
