6th Annual TRICOM Instructor ConferenceTRICOM: Ground S.E.R.E. Instructor Certification (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape)
The three-day conference will include:
PHASE 1GROUND S.E.R.E . (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape)
This phase of the TRICOM Ground program focuses on the most important things an Operator should understand and be trained in with regards to being on the ground. This includes:
· Evading attempts to take the Operator down through footwork, the first line of defense.
· Resisting attempts to take the Operator to the ground through sprawling drills, the last line of defense.
· Surviving the ground when the Operator finds themselves in common ground positions.
· Escaping the ground, and moving to more mobile positions.
PHASE 2
GROUND CnC (Control and Custody)
This phase focuses on transitioning to dominant positions on the ground where a subject can be effectively controlled, and taken safely into custody. This will include application of the TRICOM 4-Count Lock-Flow Drill from various ground positions to aid in the process of control and custody.
PHASE 3
GRAPPLING in a Weapons Based Environment
This phase focuses on grappling when weapons are deployed and actively engaged by either the Operator, their opponent, or both. Lessons from the first two Phases are reinforced with the consideration of this new dynamic of grappling in a weapons based environment.
The dates of this course coincide with the 7th PTTA USA Conference, held at the same venue from August 20-22.
