Join us this conversation about the Community Police Alliance Program, a cooperative venture between the Somerset County Human Services Department and the Bridgewater Police. This program embeds a licensed social worker within a local police department with the intention of improving outcomes and de-escalating crisis for residents whose situation has resulted in police dispatch. We’ll explore the processes that led to the program’s development, challenges faced, and lessons learned so far. The panelists will also discuss program design and potentials for expansion and replication.
