Students need to learn to write more than argument essays. They need to learn to add voice to their writing. The best way to learn that skill is through watching skilled writers-you, the teacher-do it. This workshop will provide strategies for creating teacher models with particular formats as a starting place to more reflective writing.
Suitable for Middle School, grades 6-8, High School, grades 9-12
Whether learning at home or in school, struggling readers need strong, effective interventions. In this workshop, I will introduce simple but highly effective, research-based interventions that are appropriate to either setting. We will discuss implementation both in the classroom and in a virtual learning environment. These interventions have the potential to significantly accelerate the growth of your at-risk readers.
