AAUW April 2019 General Meeting

Health and Exercise

Join us for dinner, our annual business meeting and an informative program on Thursday, April 18th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the Aspen Room at the Riverside Hotel. No host bar from 5:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.,  dinner at 5:45, the business meeting at 6:15 and the program at 6:30. Menu choices are on the registration form.

One of my gym teachers always says, "As we grow up," instead of "As we grow older," when she recommends a certain exercise. Well, since most of us are inddeed growing up, Dr. Matthew Nelson will fill us in on the health benefits of different types of exercise, the importance of setting reasonable goals, and balancing physical activity with nutrition. Dr. Nelson practices cardiology at St. Alphonsus Hospital, having received his M.D. from the University of Iowa and his fellowship in cardiology from the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Join us to be inspired to follow the doctor's orders!

PLEASE RSVP BY Sunday, April 14th.
