The Idaho Workforce Development Council oversees implementation of an inductry-led, statewide strategic workforce development plan. Its executive director, Wendi Secrist, will discuss the challenges facing Idaho's economy from a workforce development and education perspective and focus on the opportunities to better connect education to careers in Idaho. Wendi Secrist was appointed to the position by Governor Otter after working in the field of workforce and economic empowerment for many years. A graduate of Oregon State University, Wendi is also the daughter-in-law of AAUW member Judy Secrist.
