AAUW March 2018 General Meeting
Opportunities for Women in the Military
To celebrate Women's History Month, Lt. Col. Rhonda House of the US Army Reserve will discuss the opportunities for women in the armed forces and how the life skills a woman learns in the military can translate to civilian life. Clearly, House has learned a great deal: She will take command of 814th Transportation Battalion for the Army Reserve in early March.
In both active and reserve duty, Lt. Col. House has served throughout the world, including South Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Poland. She is also the mother of a daughter and has earned her Masters of Public Admiistration with certificates in Conflict Management and Non-Profit Management. In addition to her role in the military, she works as a business analyst for the State of Idaho and has been assigned to help build a system of mental health care for children.
The annual business meeting featuring the election of new officers and voting regarding branch dues will also take place.
A social hour with a no-host bar starting at 5:00 PM in the Conference Center.
Dinner will be served at 5:30.
Choose between a meal of slow roasted beef brisket, chicken florentine or spaghetti squash with tomato, zucchini, and olive. Please see the complete menu under event information on the reservation form. Contact Marci Lingo with dietary restrictions (mlingo@hot-mktg.com or 208-345-2918).
