2023 Facilities Technical Workshop


ACEC of Vermont is excited to offer four technical presentations as part of our Annual Facilities Technical Workshop!  This year the Workshop will take place as a hybrid event, both in person and broadcast virtually, on May 2nd, 2023
 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM as further described in the Technical Workshop Agenda below. Sponsorship info and registrations are available.
 
This event will kick off at 11:00 AM with in-person networking at IDX Drive in South Burlington and lunch catered by 
Wild Thyme Catering.

 

Following lunch and networking, the Workshop will be broadcast virtually for those unable to attend in person.  Education sessions will be comprised of diverse presentations including: 

·         a brief introduction by the Department of Buildings and General Services including overview of upcoming changes in the State Contracting processes including revisions to Bulletin 3.5 and the upcoming launch of “VT Buys”; 

·         a project spotlight on the new River Valley Therapeutic Residence for the Department of Mental Health;

·         an education session on environmental due diligence and potential remediation for public facility projects in accordance with Vermont’s IRULE for Investigation and Remediation of Contaminated Properties; 

·         an introduction to the Act 172 including overview of grant and loan funding availability for municipal energy resiliency projects;

·         and a Panel Discussion on Lessons Learned from recent public facility projects.  

 

Presentations will be provided by VHB, Freeman French Freeman, the Department of Buildings and General Services, and more.
 
As an ACEC National recognized Regional Continuing Education Provider (RCEP), ACEC of Vermont will be providing workshop attendees with approved Vermont professional development hours (PDHs) for the workshop.
