Advanced Bellingcat Scraping Webinar Incl. 21% VAT Partial Approval - €325.00

The ticket price is inclusive of 21% VAT and additional fees. All individuals applying for this course are subject to the Dutch VAT of 21%. If your application is paid for by a company to whom different VAT rules apply, please mention your VAT number in the registration form, after which we will send you a separate invoice. We also include a 3% processing fee charged by credit card companies and PayPal, along with a €10 fee charged by Eventzilla. For our 2023 workshops we increased our fees to match inflation and additional labor costs. Thus, with these fees and the 21% VAT, each 4-hour block totals €325.00.

Advanced Scraping Webinar (4 hours)

This webinar requires prerequisite knowledge of the command line and of programming. The participant should be comfortable using the command line to run scripts and software. They should be familiar with the fundamentals of computer programming, and have a working Python installation on their computer. They do not need to be a Python expert – with a willingness to learn, and a working Python configuration, programming experience in another language is enough to follow this webinar.

The webinar session will cover:

  • Python tools for scraping social media data from Telegram and Twitter, including official and unofficial APIs
  • Python libraries for data analysis
  • Examples of analyzing social media data and post content over time
  • Tools for building a network diagram visualization from post data

 

Cancellation policy

You will be registered as a participant only after we have received full payment of the workshop fee;

If you cancel your registration up to one week before the start of the workshop, you will be refunded the total workshop fee, minus EUR 25+VAT and fees administrative costs;

If you cancel within six to two days before the start of the workshop, you will be reimbursed 50% of the workshop fee. If we are able to replace you with a waiting list candidate, then the total fee minus EUR 25+VAT and fees administrative costs will be refunded.
