Advanced Silver Techniques: Fold forming- add texture and dimension to your next project! 10/17/2016

Monday mornings 9:00 am to noon, 6 weeks.

Continuing our exploration of metal plasticity, we will dive into the exciting technique of fold forming. This technique can be employed to create artful vessels, complex jewelry designs and glorious objects of art for your home or gifting. We will be again working in base metals for the early projects to keep material costs down, but students should plan to purchase one long piece of sterling silver, 6-7 inches in length (measure your model wrist) and at least 2" wide, 24 gauge, for a cuff bracelet project.

Classes are conducted by volunteer members of the Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society, under the the auspices of the City of Oxnard, Dept. of Recreation.
