Advanced Silver Techniques: Forged Fibula, 9/05/2016

Monday mornings 9:00 am to noon, 6 weeks.

We will explore the plasticity of metal and forge a fibula (cloak or scarf pin) from both bronze and silver heavy wire. The basic concepts of moving metal will be discussed and students should be able to complete two fibulas during class.

Classes are conducted by volunteer members of the Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society, under the the auspices of the City of Oxnard, Dept. of Recreation.
