Advanced Silver Techniques: Mens furnishings

Monday mornings 9:00 am to noon, 6 weeks.

Most of our class projects are fairly female-oriented, but guys like a bit of bling too! So let's make some basic men's accoutrements that will let a guy's personal style shine. We will make fittings for a friction held bolo tie, simple cufflinks and a money clip.

All materials for fabricating the money clip and cufflinks and slide back will be supplied in a student kit. Students will need to provide their own 26-24 gauge sterling sheet for the cord tips. Also students will need to bring their own, pre-made decorative elements for the Bolo tie and cufflinks (bezel cups & cabochons, pierced work, found objects etc.).

Classes are conducted by volunteer members of the Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society, under the the auspices of the City of Oxnard, Dept. of Recreation.
