Course Description:        Due to the growth of online marketing and advertising, a real estate agent’s ability to brand themselves in the marketplace can impact the success of their business. The primary objective of this course is to educate realtors on the rules on how to safely and ethically advertise, brand and market their real estate business online. This course examines the specific issues related to using the internet to advertise and brand online.

By examining specific examples of marketing and advertising and the Georgia real-estate laws and ethics, students will learn how to avoid the potential pitfalls related to promoting their properties and real-estate practices online. An emphasis is placed on creating a personal brand, listing properties and selling online specifically for real estate.

Course Objectives:          Overall objective is to provide each participant with the knowledge necessary to legally and ethically establish online brand through marketing and advertising. This includes an in-depth understanding of the Georgia Real Estate Laws governing advertising and promotion on the web. At the end of the course, each participant will:

1. be able to create a personal image profile
2. be able to demonstrate a plan to establish personal brand through consistency in    advertising
3. be able to implement a social media strategy and presence
4. be able to select and create an appropriate, appealing, professional image
5. be able to weigh marketing and branding against budget
