“Two Birds to Kill a Stone” 

Ben Diamond just released his 8th full-length album, “Two Birds to Kill a Stone”.  This is his first release under the artist name “Son Stone” and also his first release of singer/songwriter material.  His first seven albums contained mostly instrumental Hawaiian Slack Key music.  Ben and bass player Jeff Brody will play selections from “Two Birds to Kill a Stone,” and even some Hawaiian Slack Key tunes.  Along the way, Son will talk about how song prompts changed the way he worked the songwriting process. 

Bio: 

Born, raised, and still living in East Meadow, NY, Son Stone (Ben Diamond) is a songwriter and new-age beat poet.  Two-time finalist in American Songwriter Magazine’s national songwriting contest, a published and award-winning poet and humorist, Ben’s songs have the wit of John Prine and the grit of Tom Waits.  Ben has written over 200 songs in multiple genres including folk, rock, blues, pop, Hawaiian slack key, and instrumental fingerstyle.  Ben has been fortunate to open for legendary players like Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna / Jefferson Airplane) and David Gans (SiriusXM host, Grateful Dead historian, author, and independent musician).   He’s backed by the incredible Son Stone Project, a group of crazy-talented, Nassau County-based performers who should each be independently famous.  More info at https://ben-diamond.com/
