Proper Usage of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in QuickBooks

In continuing our monthly Alloy Academy workshop series, Alloy Silverstein's accountants and QuickBooks ProAdvisors will discuss the importance of properly using accounts receivable and accounts payable in QuickBooks accounting software.

Attendees will walk away with clear recommendations to implement before year-end.

• What is the difference between cash basis and accrual basis?
• Why would a cash basis taxpayer want to use A/R and A/P?
• How to analyze detailed aging reports
• What happens if you only use A/R and A/P part of the time?
• What are the steps in posting a customer invoice and payment?
• What are the steps in posting a bill and payment?
