This Community Conversation is being presented free for social workers, their clients, and the general public.  It is not CEU eligible.

This session will introduce attendees to First Book, the nonprofit social enterprise focused on removing the barriers to learning and improving outcomes for kids in need. First Book provides social workers, program leaders, and educators with brand-new, high-quality books, educational resources, and other essentials to help promote learning growth, social-emotional development, and student well-being. Participants will learn about the free and low-cost resources that First Book offers (including school supplies, basic needs items, hygiene products, games, activities, and more) with a focus on resources to support social workers across a variety of settings and program types. Additionally, participants will learn how they can add their voices to the First Book Network to help inform the types of resources offered by First Book and influence thought leaders on educational equity;  partner with First Book to gain access to funded opportunities; and how they can connect their partners with First Book to ensure access to free and affordable resources across their communities.  There will be time during the conversation for questions and answers, along with a discussion on how attendees can and are using books and other resources in their practice or program.

Webinar information will be sent to you in your confirmation email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
