A workshop ideal for improving your CPD - take the opportunity to join other ecologists for a day’s insight into the process of appropriate assessment in Ireland, what it aims to do, its procedural steps and important terminology. Other aspects of appropriate assessments also covered in this full day’s workshop include implications of case law and how to carry out your own robust assessments. This is aimed at those with little knowledge of AA, limited practical experience and those wanting to know more or be more confident in their written reports.

Chartered ecologist and director with Scott Cawley
Paul is an experienced environmental scientist and chartered ecologist, specialising in impact assessment and ecology with 11 years' experience in Ireland. He is very well accustom to the Appropriate Assessment process, from contributing AAs to key projects across the country to developing a review package for AA as part of an EPA STRIVE project. Paul is now also lecturing in University College Dublin on the Appropriate Assessment process and Environmental Impact Assessments.
