New to a Unit event? NASW-NJ has 12 volunteer-led, county-based Units that hold regional events around the state of New Jersey for members in that area. (However due to the public health emergency, Unit events will be held virtually until further notice!) These events are planned and coordinated by an appointed volunteer Chair and Co-Chair, as well as a Regional Representative from NASW-NJ’s Board of Directors. As We Rise, We Lift Up: A Post Election Collective Gathering

Description: Join the NASW-NJ Middlesex Unit for a very special community gathering: As We Rise, We Lift Up so that together we may process our psychological and emotional experiences of the 2020 election and plan forward for next steps. Our ultimate goal is to empower ourselves so that we may chart a collective solution-focused course moving forward with the final destination of a world where equality, unity, liberation, empowerment for all living beings everywhere are evidenced.
We invite all social workers and other key stakeholders across the state and beyond to bring and share their thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and other visions to our large and small group facilitated discussions on how we can achieve local to global individual, family, and community well-being, liberation, and empowerment.
