The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.
This training is fully funded for those who live or work within the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen, however, late cancellation or failure to attend may attract a charge of £100.
This two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop is an international certificated programme. Based upon adult learning principles, you will experience small group discussions and skills practice. Feel challenged and safe. Learn suicide first aid.
This is a community course and may not be suitable for those with specific mental health training.
Day 1 - 17th August 2022 - 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Day 2 - 18th August 2022 - 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Participants must attend all sessions on both days to receive the course certificate. The course will begin at 9:00 am.
Please note that lunch is not provided and there are no cafeteria facilities at the venue. You may bring your own lunch or there are facilities in walking distance.
