Presentation Overview:

Many people become stagnant in their professional life as they become tenured in their roles. Training and networking becomes a thing of the past. While it can become complacent about professional development when you're employed, it is critical as everyone is a candidate, even if a passive one. This presentation will detail why people should go above and beyond to improve their skills, even if it's not required by their organization. Our speaker will talk about breathing freshness into your career to help you get excited about work and your professional portfolio.

Topics will include:

•       Setting goals for professional growth

•       Why everyone is a passive candidate

•       LinkedIn: a valuable resource

•       The benefits of volunteering and joining professional organizations

She has recruited for a variety of positions with specific U.S. government contract requirements and security clearances as well as handled international full-cycle recruiting for executive, staff, government contract, and proposal positions including but not limited to Accounting, Strategy, Business Development, Human Resources, Cost & Estimating, IT, Program/Project Management, Logistics, and Transportation. She has worked from assisting felon’s transition into society to working as an International Technical Oil and Gas recruiter, to now where she is working in the government sector.

She is a skilled researcher and quick to become well-versed in any and all requirements with job descriptions. She has always developed and maintained a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. She also is actively involved in the career development of staff at Synectics.
