Speaker Biography:
Kari Repka is currently serving as a Quality Analyst within the Quality Analytics & Statistical Support department of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services. Kari also serves as a mentor to regional staff for developing and performing effectiveness checks and other aspects of the problem management process. Kari has functioned as a Supplier Quality Engineer and as an Assistant Laboratory Manager. Kari received her B.A. in Chemistry and Secondary Education from Central University of Iowa located in Pella, Iowa. She has served in a quality role throughout her 20-year career. She is currently certified as an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and has served in several volunteer positions within Section 509.

Speaker Biography:
Dr. Susan M. Leister serves as the Vice-President of Quality and Compliance at Technical Resources International Inc. and faculty for the University of Phoenix with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, an MBA, a Doctorate in Organizational Management with a focus in Leadership, and holds certifications from ASQ as a Certified Quality Auditor and a Six Sigma Black Belt. Dr. Leister has broad experience in GCP, GLP, and cGMP. She has led numerous regulatory inspections and built several quality management systems from the ground up. She has obtained CE marking for medical devices and helped organizations become ISO certified. Dr. Leister is a recent multiple Award of Merit recipient from the National Institute of Health, National Institute of Allergy of Infectious Disease. Dr. Leister is a seasoned speaker covering global platforms on a variety of topics from quality risk management, quality tools, and inspection readiness.
