The Experience:
Are you as obsessed with Hamilton: An American Musical as we are? Broadway Up Close Owner Tim Dolan will lead guests on a virtual tour of Alexander Hamilton’s 1700s sidewalks in the “greatest city in the world.” In addition to exploring the historical sites from the musical, guests will hear rarely heard first-hand accounts from the making of the musical as Tim was a fly on the wall for the entire creation on Broadway. This HamilTour will be broken up into two parts (Oct. 7 and 14) to cover as much detail as possible. Don’t “wait for it,” - join us and be in the “virtual tour” where it happened.
What you get prior to the event:
A map for you to follow along the journey which you can download prior to the event.
Instructor Bio:
Tim moved to the Big Apple shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in the arts. On the small screen, Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Onstage, Tim was the Dance Captain in the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Jackie Hoffman and John "Lypsinka" Epperson. He also performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz. His other acting credits include the National Tours of Altar Boyz and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as numerous regional credits. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. As an arts educator Tim was on faculty at Rosie's Theatre Kids, Rosie O'Donnell's arts organization for many years. Combining his storytelling skills as an actor, and his love for Broadway history, Tim created Broadway Up Close Walking Tours in 2010. Over the past decade the company has established six different tour experiences including an interior tour of Broadway’s oldest theater, the Hudson. In 2019 he opened a freestanding gift shop in the middle of Times Square that offers custom, unique Broadway merchandise. And putting his love of Broadway marquees at the forefront, Tim created the BROADWAY sign that is quickly becoming a Times Square staple.
