AT THIS THEATRE: HUDSON THEATRE UP CLOSE

Behind The Scenes of Broadway’s Oldest Theater

The Experience:

Take a virtual journey back in time to 1903 with our Broadway Up Close Owner Tim Dolan to get a rare look at Broadway’s oldest theater: The Hudson. For over 100 years the theater's walls have witnessed tragedy, gangsters, and legends of pop culture, music, and Broadway who created iconic moments amid the glow of Louis Comfort Tiffany's original lighting. Featuring rarely seen photos and videos, and a few trivia questions along the way, this tour will help fill the theatrical void in the world until we're allowed to step inside the Hudson Theatre once again

Upon registration you will receive an email from our streaming partner with a unique link to access your online experience at the appointed date and time. Do not forward it; it contains your personal access link. One registration per concurrent device.

Instructor Bio:

Tim moved to the Big Apple shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in the arts. On the small screen, Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Onstage, Tim was the Dance Captain in the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Jackie Hoffman and John "Lypsinka" Epperson. He also performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz. His other acting credits include the National Tours of Altar Boyz and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as numerous regional credits. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. As an arts educator Tim was on faculty at Rosie's Theatre Kids, Rosie O'Donnell's arts organization for many years. Combining his storytelling skills as an actor, and his love for Broadway history, Tim created Broadway Up Close Walking Tours in 2010. Over the past decade the company has established six different tour experiences including an interior tour of Broadway’s oldest theatre, the Hudson. In 2019 he opened a freestanding gift shop in the middle of Times Square that offers custom, unique Broadway merchandise. And putting his love of Broadway marquees at the forefront, Tim created the BROADWAY sign that is quickly becoming a Times Square staple.
