A cloud journey is a time for digital transformation; it give an organisation an opportunity to re-evaluate past decisions and seek out a path that is cloud native and best for the organisation.

Azure Firewall is a platform service that provides modern security for networked workloads and data. As a platform service, it is very different to legacy firewalls that are familiar to firewall administrators. The network design is different. How rules are processed is different. There are new ways to access logs. There are lots of features with a different administration experience. Finally, there is the ability to manage the firewall entirely as code, not just through the Azure Portal.

This course is written and delivered by an expert who has worked with Azure Firewall for over 5 years. The content is based, not just on Microsoft best practices but real-world usage and observations. Attendees can expect to learn:

  • Concepts
  • Architecture
  • Basic usage
  • Advanced features
  • How to deploy rules
  • Troubleshooting
  • Monitoring
  • How to manage Azure Firewall using infrastructure-as-code (IaC)

Some of the comments:

"I think it is a very good introduction to Azure Firewall, but it goes beyond foundational concepts so medium- experienced admins will also get value from this. I like the sections on architecture and explanations of routing and DNS. I think this course will enable people to do a good job more than for example az 700 because of the more practical approach. You are good at explaining the material".

"Just what I wanted from a Deep dive course."

"Perfectly delivered. Crystal clear content and very well explained".

"Found the course very informative and laid out very well. Enjoyed the real-world experience and things a 'generic' course or documentation wouldn't/doesn't tell you".
