Guitar Player & Country Blues Troubadour
Natasha James
NATASHA JAMES Natasha James' country has the Blues, which is why she is known for taking Roots music styles, turning them on their head, combining them, and coming out with tunes that are completely unique but totally familiar at the same time. Her music’s been compared to Van Morrison (Americana Media Guide, Aug 2008) and her voice to Janis Joplin crossed with Joan Baez (Music Connection). Natasha grew up in Southern California, learning to read and play guitar on the beach, she then moved to Mexico City and returned to west Los Angeles where Natasa began playing and singing in L.A. jazz or blues night spots at age 14, and folk clubs of San Francisco. A prolific troubadour from Northern California, with some stellar musicians in her line-up, including DAVE AGUILAR (Norton Buffalo), IAN LAMSON (Elvin Bishop), STEVE EVANS (Coco Montoya, Elvin Bishop), HERMAN EBERITZSCH (Malo, Lee Oskar), and WOODY VERMEIRE (Commander Cody), and RONNIE RIVERA, on drums in this stellar line-up. This band gets people up on their feet from rock, country, bluegrass and blues persuasions.
