Basic Obedience

The class is at Tierra Park in Aurora CO across from Jewell Elementary School

Please visit https://www.thewagglydog.com/services to download our service contract.  Please have the contract filled out and your dog's vaccination records attached and bring it to the first class.  We require all dogs participating in our services to be up to date on their age appropiae vaccinations for the duration of the class.  These vaccinations are Rabies (all dogs 16 weeks and older), Distemper (all dogs 12 weeks and older), and Bordetella (all dogs 12 weeks and older).

This is a 6 week basic obedience class. Class is held on Sundays from 1pm to 2pm.  In this class, we cover the foundation of what your dog needs to know to be successful in their life with you. The list of things covered includes:

• Watch – the foundation of getting your dog to focus and listen to you

• Sit

• Down (laying down)

• Stand

• Puppy Push Ups (Sit, Down, Stand in order as a routine, this is the basis of getting the dog to do more for less)

• Stay

• Leave it

• Loose Leash Walking

• Handling Exercises (being able to touch the dog including their front and rear feet, heads, body, ears, and mouths. This is the basis of setting up good anxiety free vet visits, grooming visits, etc)
