 This workshop is a beginning & advanced course in social media & individuall-focused researchand a beginning course in verification, taking place June 23 - 25, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM CEST (Amsterdam) / 04:00 AM to 08:00 AM EDT (NewYork), covering the following topics:

 Beginning & advanced social media & individual-focused research course:

§  Intro and advanced practice with investigating individuals and groups

§  Intro and advanced social network-specific research (4chan/8kun, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)

§  Investigating extremist organizations online

§  Tracking transportation services (e.g. boats, flights) for investigations

Beginning verification course:

§  Introduction to open source research

§  Verification of user-generated materials

§  Web search techniques for digital investigations

§  Reverse image search techniques in digital investigations

§  Geolocation of visual materials

Cancellation policy

- You will be registered as a participant only after we have received full payment of the workshop fee;

- If you cancel your registration up to one week before the start of the workshop, you will be refunded the total workshop fee, minus EUR 25 / USD 30 (administrative costs);

- If you cancel within six to two days before the start of the workshop, you will be reimbursed 50% of the workshop fee. If we are able to replace you with a waiting list candidate, then the total fee (minus Eur 25 / USD 30 administrative costs) will be refunded.
