Course is designed to a solid understanding of the “why’s” behind the Energy Code and how to assure high performance homes and buildings.  With a focus on the “building as a system”, this course will help participants understand the principles of Building Science and how they form the basis of Energy Code requirements and above-code best practices. 

Course topics include:

  • Understanding buildings as integrated systems
  • Fundamentals of moisture migration and control, air movement, and thermal flow
  • HVAC design and installation
  • IAQ issues
