We recognize that children from hard places often come with a variety of mental health challenges. This training overviews various approaches that may be utilized in providing quality mental health care for these children. In addition, we will include a review of family therapy and specific therapeutic approaches such as theraplay, DBT, brainspotting, and EMDR. It will also include a brief intro to TRBI and CBT.
This training qualifies as 1.5 hours of credit toward foster care license certification and recertification, as well as the annual training requirement.
