Recently, a new high-interest segment has been introduced about Deaf in Prison, which should be of keen interest to many. The subject of federal law and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) may assist in leveraging liability and compliance as well as enhancing on-the-job performance and safety for everyone.
AZ-sworn peace office personnel may request a course completion certificate for AZ-POST credit.
PLEASE NOTE that AZ-POST requires that you have a working camera on your computer or tablet (iPad) while taking the class remotely, in order to receive appropriate training credit. We discourage the use of smartphones due to the small screens on those devices. Participant material will be sent via email once you are registered. It is requested that you purchase an inexpensive pair of earplugs for our "dive into the pool of silence" segment. American Sign Language (ASL) is touched upon. Learning the ASL alphabet and some useful words and phrases will be extremely useful on the job as well as in your private life.
