Identity Crisis:  Protecting Personal Privacy in a Networked World

What’s private, what’s confidential, and does anybody care?   What do we all  need to know to be good data stewards?  What policies and laws apply to Northeastern’s use of personal information?

Join us for the next Compliance Colloquium for a discussion on Privacy, Confidentiality and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation.   Come hear from Ellen Rubin and Barbara Healy Smith from the Office of the General Counsel and Megan Perkins from the Office of Information Security as they cover topics from privacy principles to privacy responsibilities, with some practical tips for maintaining confidentiality of the personal data that applicants, students, parents, employees, alumni and others entrust to Northeastern.

WHEN: Thursday, September 20, 2016, 1-2 PM

WHERE: Alumni Center, 6th Floor CP
