“Good images aren’t just taken, they are visualized. Most expert photographers start envisioning of an image with the composition WAY before they pick up their camera. They see the elements and components of the image in front of them and immediately start working on compositions, camera placements and perspectives. It’s more than just the “Rule of Thirds”. There are many more elements of a composition, and the cropping usually comes last, but it is the first thing a judge will notice when looking at an image.
