This year, as we all stand at the CROSSROADS of a new future, we take a moment to reflect on our own stories and the stories of our neighborhood. In the parallels of our tales, we celebrate all of the moments that brought us to where we are now. From this, we draw inspiration and the courage to reinvent ourselves as we boldly take a step forward together. All around us, we are witnessing a REVIVAL of humanity in our communities and across Houston.
Connect believes every neighborhood deserves to be more whole, more equitable, and more connected. By keeping our residents and families at the center, Connect Community believes in the power of partnership to support the community and rise above the chains of poverty and disinvestment.
This year’s luncheon will be a little different than past ones. Due to current circumstances, we have chosen to celebrate virtually.
Although the format is different, we promise to IMMERSE YOU in our neighborhood and the stories and dreams that make our community so special.
To participate in this year’s luncheon:
1. BUY: Purchase a ticket. Your contribution will go to helping residents have access to workforce preparation, workshops, relevant skills education, leadership development, social-emotional learning, and so much more.
2. GIVE: Every purchase will be recognized with a special gift from Connect. This year, you are also given an opportunity to “Share the Love” by choosing other friends, family members and community advocates (based on the level of purchase) to receive a culturally immersive gift from Connect on your behalf.
3. ATTEND: In lieu of our traditional luncheon, we will be hosting a virtual event on October 28, 2020 at 11 am. Please join us to learn more about Connect and the firsthand stories and dreams of our residents as we celebrate REVIVAL.
