Spring Lanterns and Paper Folded Structures

Join us for some simple afternoon craft, we'll be making, painting and collaging Cherry Blossom paper lanterns and making a one piece folded artbook. Fun, relaxing and creative, no prior artmaking skills necessary. All welcome.

Materials:

• A5 paper - A4 cut in half) - printer paper will do but better if its a slightly heavier weight. (for the lanterns)

• Ruler or similar straight edge

• Pencil and eraser

• Dark ink, poster paint or thick solution of instant coffee if no paint available

• Thin brush (or thin stick if not available)

• Stapler

• Clear tape

• Thin coloured paper - this can be printed magazine pages, - red, pink, orange, yellow - blossom colours 

• Pritt or similar glue

• newspaper or similar to protect the table.

• Sheet of A3 paper for folded book, A4 will suffice if not.

• Thin piece of card or thin plain corrugated card, if available, for book cover.

• Scissors
