Celebrating who we are and all we can be

With Dr Roshni Beeharry

In these uncertain and often, unsettling times for all in the healthcare-related fields, and not least as members of society, it is often difficult to make space and time to clear one’s head, process thoughts and experiences, and to do something that relaxes and refreshes us, when our priority is providing care to others, be that the public and our families. As a former NHS doctor and Medical Educator, no longer at the clinical frontline, I am absolutely delighted and privileged to have this opportunity to spend time with you all, to encourage you to take the time to celebrate who you are, as well as what you do, before , during and well beyond the pandemic. In this 90 minute workshop, I aim to support and guide you to do this, and to explore your creativity through writing, in what I hope will be an accessible and enjoyable way. I will use a variety of  'writing prompts', which will range from poetry, inspirational quotes, extracts from books, media, images and discussion amongst us, to invite you to read and to write in response to these, and then share your writing and/ or writing process if you wish (no one is coerced to do anything in my workshops!). A 10 minute break will be incorporated into the 90 minute workshop, as a cuppa and a breath of fresh air, is always what this doctor orders!
