Join us for a full day of classes designed to educate the beginner and test the advanced.
All Schools/Clubs/Groups welcome and all skill levels encouraged as we have a lot to offer through the day between classes, sparring, and judge/staff training for events.
It will be a full day of classes and events at our studio so spots are limited and expect to work hard. While this is hosted by Cymbrogi and is primarily a classroom format, all discussion and critique and insight are welcome within the class. Come prepared to share and explore HEMA!

Cymbrogi School of Western Martial Arts is one of the leading schools of HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts) in the world. Jeremy will warm up everyone together and get the event started with common warmups and drills as well as classroom time to show how the typical class is laid out. Other instructors will support.

Roundtable discussion and review of the previous class. Designed for Instructors or School Leaders to get an idea on best practices for building successful classes. Share ideas about improvements and current processes within your own group vs what was just done.

Ann, Kelsey, Micala, and Caelyn are some dominant fencers that just happen to be women. Whether you are of the Fem persuasion or are just wanting to learn more on instructing them join us for training.
Cymbrogi has some of the best Ringen practitioners and instructors. Fundamentals are key and must be learned early on to prevent injury and develop useful skills.
Material covered in our Intro class and how it's organized. What's the purpose? Stronger enrollment and candidates! Better organization. Foundational student knowledge.
How Sparring Games and Guided Sparring develop skill. Simple implementation for classrooms of any size or dynamic.
Intro to Messer Fechten and it's relation with Bolognese and one handed weapons. Why is it the most important manual? How is it used and how is it misunderstood?
Dagger taught by Kyle Toelle. Basics of the system and how to get core understanding of skills necessary for a student. Last 30 minutes a short intro to tournament format.
Vor, Void, and Versetzen. Why is Voiding an under utilized tool? How do you fool measure? What's the difference between "Length" and "Measure" anyway? What types of footwork exist in KDF? What sources?
Ringen with/without jackets. Common setups and takedowns in KDF. How to apply to using full gear in competition (Ringen am Schwert)
Advanced Practitioners and Instructors only! Closed classroom for discussion and implementation of the most misunderstood concepts in KDF.
Outside for fun and practice tournament. This event is open to all. Half serious, and half training.We show judging and reffing methods and training. We discuss the importance of coaching and goal setting. We allow everyone to have rounds and fence "competitively".
