The SELWDH “Diabetic Foot Check” training covers the basic principles of good foot care in diabetes and equips participants with the knowledge to provide diabetes foot care education to patients.
The training provides a comprehensive understanding of foot care in diabetes; participants will learn how to identify foot complications; understand their impact; and recognise the frequency and importance of foot checks in diabetes. It also covers the risk assessment process and the tools utilised in diabetes foot assessment. Participants will gain practical skills in performing a diabetes foot assessment independently using these tools.
The ‘Diabetic Foot Check’ training will be run in the SELWDH premises. The face-to-face training will be held as small, interactive groups (accommodating up to 12 people) including activities and a practical session.
