Downtown Mooresville Wiener Race 2018

The Mooresville Wiener Race is an event organized and presented by Downtown Mooresville in which all entrants are required to be classified as a Dachshund breed to be eligible to participate.  This charitable event helps raise awareness and donations for local animal advocate group Lake Norman Humane while having fun doing so.  Four divisions race for trophies:  Puppies (1 year & under), Juniors (1-5 years old), Adults (5-10 years old), and Seniors (10+).  Contests for “Cutest” and “Best Dressed” also award trophies.

All Wieners are required to be classified as a Dachshund breed to be eligible to enter.  Registration must be executed by the dog’s owner to acknowledge their willingness to abide by the official rules and regulations . Failure to do so may result in disqualification and forfeit of the $25+ entry fee. Registration is limited to the first 180 qualified and paid entrants received no later than Thursday, October 4, 2018. No new registrations will be accepted after that date or on race day. All Wieners MUST submit their shot records within this  registration form accompanied by a verifying copy from their veterinarian’s office. (Distemper, Rabies, Parvo, Bordetella).
