"We don't stop playing because we grow old,
we grow old because we stop playing. "
- George Bernard Shaw

Do you have enough fun in your life? Could you live with a little less stress perhaps?

Climb out of your cabin and come to this cozy sanctuary for some connection, release, great beats and a sonic journey to a place of deep relaxation to wind the evening down. Come and play, with your voice, with body beats, with BoomWhackers, Drums, and ethereal Tone Chimes. No experience is required, and if you don't already have a favourite drum you want to bring, we'll have one waiting for you here.

We will go through a custom of mix of activities from the HealthRHYTHMS Group Empowerment Drumming Protocol (an evidence-based workshop that has been proven to significantly lower stress hormones and even improve immune function) and the Rhythm to Recovery program (another evidence-based drumming & healing program). We will learn a few rhythms, play rhythmic games, and learn the value and fun of improvisation and non-verbal communication, when we can really be free to express ourselves in a safe environment.

We’ll end with some guided imagery for deep relaxation, and some positive intention setting for the future. By connecting and healing through the good vibes we create, we can all better prepare for, and be more resilient to, the challenges and difficulties that life delivers. So we can really connect with the meaning of this time of year when we go inside, reflect on what we have harvested, and our achievements and relationships.

A time when we reconnect with others, and with Sprit, through ceremony, music making, gratitude, and reflection. And an excellent time to let go and create new space for the new seeds of intention we want to dream up over the winter and plant in the coming year.

Online General Admission: $20
Older Adults Aged 65 and up: $10
At the door (no guarantee if we sell out): $25

Date & Time:
Saturday, February 22nd, from 7:30-9:30 pm.

And everyone is welcome! If funds are an issue, just let me know and we'll explore alternate options.

Rufus passionately believes that everyone has rhythm, and people in his workshops learn that hand drumming is easy and so much fun to learn in a group setting. Together they experience how they can create something greater than they could do on their own, by supporting and encouraging each other, and really listening to each other as they co-create music, and community. Let Rufus show you how drumming and making music together is a wonderful way to con
