Sensory bottles are containers that are filled with various materials as a way to encourage non-messy sensory play. Sensory bottles can also be used as Calm down bottles that help young children relax and soothe themselves by focusing on the motion happening inside the calm down bottle. They are an effective and easy way to help children focus on deep breaths and relaxing after a temper tantrum or an upsetting event. They allow children to use their senses to make sense of their world, while keeping them safe and keeping clean up to a minimum.

Join us on May 28 at the Republic Library to create your own sensory bottle to take home! Come and go as you please between 5:00pm and 6:30pm!

Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks

http://www.dsgo.life

The Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks was originally created by six families wanting to make a difference in the lives of their children with Down syndrome. With their ideas, the leadership of Lynn Neidigh and the support of both the St. Louis & Kansas City groups, DSGO officially became a 501 (c)(3) in 2006. We have come a long way but know that there is still much more that we can do to make our mission an everyday reality. Your donation of time, talent, in-kind service and/or financial support all plays a huge part in our continued growth. Join us in making a difference!
