Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotion/body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral Sound, which is deep, direct, powerful, yet focused and containing. Through lecture, live demonstration, and small group practice, participants will learn to do the following:
· Define the components of Brainspotting
· Utilize the techniques of Inside Window, Outside Window, and Gazespotting
· Define how Brainspotting can be applied to trauma, dissociation, sports psychology, and somatic conditions
· Demonstrate the theories and practices of Brainspotting

Meet the Trainer Steve Sawyer, LCSW CASC ____ Steve Sawyer is a highly experienced clinician and trainer with a wide span of experiences in settings spanning outpatient, residential, school, and wilderness therapeutic realms. He is the Chief Clinical Trainer for the CALO Programs group of ten residential treatment settings. Steve has been through all Phases of Brainspotting Training and is a highly experienced Brainspotting Phase 1 Trainer giving trainings across the country. Steve is additionally a therapeutic development staff with the Institute of HeartMath, works collaboratively with The Trauma Center of Boston, and spends time with many of the Trauma Masters like Stephen Porges, Bessel van der Kolk, Gabor Mate, Joseph Spinazzola, and Robert Scaer. Steve integrates this expert depth of cutting edge treatment knowledge into all of his Brainspotting trainings.
